The Best Airports for Business Travel

If you’ve had a few long-haul flights in your time, you may be well aware that some airports are terrible for business travellers (or any travellers for that matter). While some provide a welcome respite after a long flight, and a place to refresh before your connecting flight, others can make you feel like you’re in prison- with no food, entertainment, or place to rest in sight.

Here are some of the best airports for business travel:

Changi Airport, Singapore

This airport is famous and known to be one of the best in the world, however many people are unaware that it has recently won the World’s Best Airport award for the third consecutive year in a row.

This airport sees 5,000 departures and arrivals each week by 80 international airlines. It was also awarded a $234 million contract for an expansion of Terminal 1. If you happen to fly economy, there are plenty of lounges which offer day passes, and you can either pay at the door or book online-meaning wifi and a nice hot shower.
Rest areas have special chairs which are designated as “snooze chairs”, so you can grab a quick nap in Terminal 1, 2, or 3.

Incheon International Airport, South Korea

This airport is home to Korean Air, and the facilities are regarded as some of the best. The airport has a museum of Korean Culture, along with an array of dining and shopping options, and cultural performances to keep you entertained on that layover.

Free wifi is available, along with plenty of internet lounges. The casino is a popular place to stop at the Hyatt Regency just 3 minutes away, and if you’d like to get close to nature there are 7 different gardens inside the terminal, along with an 18-hold putting course in the International Business Area.

Munich Airport, Germany

This airport is one of the busiest in Europe and has an airy feel, with architecture featuring plenty of glass. Many have compared this airport to a large shopping mall, and there is easy access between the two terminals, which are connected by a large courtyard.

You’ll find free wifi on the Telekom network, and if you feel like leaving the airport there are also plenty of good hotels where you can catch a nap.

Hong Kong International Airport

This airport sees 59.6 million passengers per year, and is ranked 4th in the world. As one of the busiest airports in Asia, you’ll find plenty to do and see here, along with the food which makes Hong Kong so famous.
Get in a round of golf at the Sky City Nine Eagles Golf Course which is located near terminal 2 (a shuttle bus will take you there from Gate 18), and if you need to do some shopping for those back home, Hong Kong Airport is the place to be.

This is a modern, clean airport, and if you happen to arrive at night you’ll find may places where you can grab a late night snack.
