When it comes to travelling for business, the biggest perk is being able to relax in comfort at the nose end up of the plane, perhaps grabbing some sleep or catching up on work, instead of being crammed into the economy seats at the back of the plane.
However all airlines are not created equal when it comes to business class. Here are the best airlines for business travel:
Swiss International Air Lines
Swiss has revamped its business class, and each seat has access to a built-in, multi-national power outlet, making it easy to recharge your devices. The seat lies completely flat, and will even massage you so you can arrive feeling relaxed. The food is a standout on Swiss, and the little details like a cubbyhole for shoes, and a countertop for your things make Swiss an excellent choice.
British Airways
British Airways introduced the first ever fully lie-flat seat a decade ago, revolutionising business class flying. However they’re now often outclassed by Asian and Middle Eastern carriers. This doesn’t mean they’re not well worth the flight though, as you experience a brilliant amount of privacy on their flights, due to the seating which has window and middle seats facing backwards, while aisle seats face forwards.
American Airlines
American airlines business class has come a long way. The cocoon seats are fully flat, and are currently one of the best business class seats available in the air. The meals are good, and their desserts are also very popular.
Emirates
The Emirates Airbus A380 are one of the main reasons why business class is such a success with this airline. The extra space gives business class passengers extra privacy and comfort, and their amenity kits, excellent entertainment selection, and fully stocked bar makes flying business with Emirates a great choice, before you even add in the chauffeur service, or Dubai business lounge.
Air New Zealand
Famous for their innovation, and entertaining inflight safety videos, the business cabins are always a hit with Air New Zealand, due to their leather lie-flat beds, comfortable duvets, and two large pillows. The food is also where this airline shines, with mouthwatering dishes made from New Zealand produce, coupled with some of the best wine the country has to offer.
Qatar
Each business class seat on Qatars 787 Dreamliners is spacious, comfortable, and luxurious, with aisle access and a turn down service. The food is comparable to some of the best restaurants around, however Qatar doesn’t offer this business class on all of its fleet, so be sure to book the Dreamliner if possible.
Singapore Airlines
Singapore Airlines have long been known for their amazing business class product, and they continue to impress. Their business seat is the widest you’ll find in the world, and the seat is designed to accommodate any sleeping position.
Cathay Pacific Airways
Cathay have also recently launched a new business class, with a flat-bed over 2 meters long, and an extension which can make it up to 6.5 inches (16.5cm) wider. Cathay especially shine when it comes to their customer service, cabin crew training, and impressive lounges. Take a look below at the secrets behind the design for Cathay’s new business class.
