Most of us stay busy with work as well as the obligatory errands that fill up our remaining hours, leaving us precious little time to plan a vacation. After all, it’s not often that the boss won’t be angry to discover that you’re using the work computer to check plane ticket prices rather than typing up those pesky TPS reports. Or perhaps you’ve decided that purchasing your plane tickets could wait until the last minute when you had more money only to find out that airfare has skyrocketed overnight. All the same, you shouldn’t give up on your vacation dreams just because of a few minor setbacks. In fact, some great deals can still be found at the last moment.

It pays to be flexible when planning any trip and this is even more the case when your planning time is short. Travelers should note that the choicest plane and train departure times are probably gone the way of the dinosaurs, the dodo, and other extinct animals. So it is likely that one will be faced with sacrificing a little on either the time or money score. Even so, keep in mind it is better to spend a little extra for a flight on a reputable airline rather than end up flying with a company that has a questionable safety rating.
