The Vancouver Airport Authority has just announced starting March 29, 2014 you will be able to fly directly from Vancouver to France. Air France has just announced that they will begin flying to Vancouver Airport non-stop from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
“I’m so thrilled to welcome a premier carrier like Air France to YVR’s growing list of business partners. Our customers have long been asking for Air France’s non-stop direct flights to Paris,” said Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “We recently surveyed Metro Vancouver residents and results showed Paris as the number one requested destination from YVR.”
The non-stop seasonal service will operate three times per week from March 29 to May 3, 2015; five times per week from May 4 to September 13, 2015; and three times a week from September 14 to October 24, 2015. The flight (AF 379) will depart Vancouver at 2:00 pm and arrive in Paris at 8:35 am the next day. The return flight (AF 374) will depart Paris at 10:30 am and arrive in Vancouver at 11:50 am the same day.
Air France and it’s co-carrier KLM Royal Dutch airlines now together offer 55 connections to Europe with this flight and even more if you take into account other popular destinations such as South Asia. KLM already offers a connections to India and with Air France coming to Vancouver this will expand the places people can travel from Vancouver with a decreased number of stops.
